Carol Braun Trapnell, MD

Class of 1975

Carol was a student council representative, participated in Academic Team, was a member of the National Honor Society, and received the William Danforth Award. In her spare time, she played basketball, tennis and softball.  She was even included in an issue of Sport Illustrated because of her softball skills.


Dr. Trapnell attended the University of Cincinnati and received her B.S in Pharmacy from the Ohio State University College of Pharmacy graduating cum laude in 1980. She graduated from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1984. Her post-graduate studies included an Internal Medicine residency at the Ohio State University from 1984-1987 and then a Clinical Pharmacology fellowship at Georgetown University from 1990-1992. She was a member of the American Society of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT). She volunteered at a free clinic in Washington, DC in the 1980’s, and was active in her church and volunteered in the public schools in Howard County, MD.  She spent time as Vice President, Medical Affairs and Clinical Research of GloboMax, a strategic pharmaceutical development division of ICON plc, Hanover, MD.


Carol passed away peacfully on April 22, 2016.
