Dr. Nofziger attended Goshen College and graduated in 1961 having played tennis, swimming, basketball and was involved in YPCA service projects.

While holding down three part-time jobs to pay tuition, he graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1965. He interned at Christ Hospital in Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He was honored as Teacher of the Year in 2000 and recognized as Teacher of the Year at UC College of Medicine in 2002. He was elected Fellow of Alpha Omega Alpha (International Medical Honor Society) in 2002. Don has encouraged sports medicine programs and adoption services.

Don helped to establish the sports medicine program at Finneytown High School. He and his wife, Ann, have two children who also graduated Finneytown High School.
