It is with great sadness that we say goodbye, this weekend, to our dear friend and fellow Finneytown Schools Educational Foundation board member, John Wesly Coleman Jr. who passed away unexpectedly last week while on a vacation to Florida. Words, alone, cannot fill the vacuum that is left behind by John's warmth, kindness, sense of humor, and enormous smile. JC was an immediate friend to everybody he met, and had a way to make everyone feel loved and valued.
But while we are overwhelmed by grief, we are also filled with the hope and unrelenting optimism of John's legacy. His steadfast dedication to reaching out to those less fortunate, improving the community around him, and providing educational opportunities to the next generation stand as a beacon that lights the path forward for all of us.
