The Finneytown Alumni Network, a subsidiary of the Finneytown Schools Educational Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is seeking an Alumni Engagement Manager to help create an alumni association for the Finneytown Local School District. The ideal candidate would enjoy talking with alumni on the phone or on video conferences, engaging them on social media or with email, and preparing direct mail. The topics of conversation might include helping plan for reunions, sharing information about the school community, or assisting with a contribution to a scholarship, educational grant, or a capital campaign.


Responsibilities:

The Alumni Engagement Manager will report to the President of the Board of Trustees of the Finneytown Schools Educational Foundation, be a consistent point of contact for the Finneytown Alumni Network, and may physically report to work at the Finneytown Local School District administrative offices. This position will:

  • Receive and respond to phone calls, email, and direct mail from alumni and community.

  • Monitor social media accounts, craft posts, and manage responses.

  • Accept and record donations, sending appropriate acknowledgements for tax purposes.

  • Record detailed information about each donor interaction in an online tracking database.

  • Help develop and implement a public relations strategy for the Finneytown Alumni Network.


Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Associates degree in Business Management, or related area, OR 3-5 years of experience in non-profit development or alumni relations.

  • Familiarity with technology (email, Word, Excel, financial tracking, recordkeeping).

  • Comfortable using social media (Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram).

  • Fundraising experience including message development, calendar implementation, and donor management with segmentation.

  • Prefer a candidate with affinity to Finneytown.


Compensation:

  • This job will begin as a part-time position, but will quickly expand into a full-time position.

  • Hourly compensation will be based on experience.

  • Additional benefits to be determined.
